The truth of the Tank

My workplace has made it clear that personal emails are out. Police state monitoring, threatening missives, harsh reprisals are the order of the day where I work. Only work related stuff will be tolerated. Enjoyment = banned. Laughter = banned. Smiling = banned. But that is the problem. I enjoy writing short notes. Emails to people I like and who can respond in a way that excites me are really important. I love these exchanges. They make me smile ( even if I am the originator) and sometimes they make the recipient smile and laugh too. They often make the whole idea of working for an organisation much more acceptable and enjoyable. Afterall, a happy workforce is a productive workforce. That makes sense, doesn't it? That's all changed.....new rationale.....need to keep job.......need to fall in line (but I don't want to).......need money to pay mortgage, etc......moreover, and more importantly, I need another outlet.......need to express myself. A good friend suggested blogging. Huh ? What's that ? I heard of it but what exactly does it mean? Following a little investigation, blogging made sense. I am starting this not to attract a horde but merely to replace the now outlawed emails with something different. My buddy was right. So here goes the blog of the Tank....
